A quickie before settling down to watch the upcoming carnage in Tampa (what can I say, I’m a bit masochistic when it comes to this sort of thing). Midnight Madness is less than a week away! And once the practice dust settles and the season actually begins, Syracuse will get down to the business of protecting their legacy. The football program may rise and fall, but the basketball program has been as steady as… a very steady thing, when it comes to winning.
#6: Extending the Streak
We bring this up a couple times a year just to make sure the world doesn’t forget it, and to give you ammunition when having to deal with fans of Johnny-come-lately programs like Florida.
(Note: this is from the NCAA record book published at the start of last season — so bump those numbers up by one more.)
