What the kids do on their day off

From the Twitter feeds of a couple of the SU players:

DaShonte Riley around 8pm Tuesday: “Walkin the city wit @KrisJo32 ,@Mookiejones3 and @btriche25 tryna accomplish some purchasing lol”

I wonder if any purchasing was actually accomplished. That is my new favorite phrase. “Going shopping” is so 2008.

Kris Joseph around 1pm Wednesday: “In the room with @deeriley33 watchin this Gtown game then we gonna get something to eat from Chipotle”

Uh oh. I know these guys eat more and regularly burn far more calories than 98% of the people in the country, but still. If Kris doesn’t seem to have his usual hops tomorrow, blame it on the several extra pounds of beans and rice plastered to the walls of his digestive tract.

One Trackback

  1. [...] Western Hospitality SU has been put into the West region three times (one time it was called the “Phoenix” region, during that brief phase of naming regions after host cities) and has made the Sweet Sixteen every time. The first time was 1994, when #4 seed SU took #1 Missouri to overtime but lost. It also happened in 2004, when as a 6 seed we upset Maryland in the second round, only to lose to a red-hot Alabama team the following weekend. The third time was when the 4th-seeded Cuse were In The House, running all the way to the championship game in 1996. That’s a combined record of 9-3 when seeded in the West bracket. Additionally, Syracuse is 2-0 in tournament games played in Utah (their first two games in 1994 were played in Ogden). At that point in the tournament, the trip to Salt Lake should be beneficial to the team. It should enhance their focus, tighten their team spirit. Putting some distance between them and the craziness of Upstate New York will be the perfect thing to keep them from getting too distracted, too caught up in the hype. Plus, Salt Lake isn’t exactly NYC. I doubt they will spend the afternoon before the game roaming the city streets trying to accomplish some purchasing. [...]
