Check out the photo below, stolen from Mike Waters’ blog, of the ground-breaking of the new Carmelo Center on campus.
You will of course recognize the two guys in the center. The man on the far right (gray suit) is the esteemed DOCTOR Daryl Gross, clearly pleased to be not fucking something up for a change. But the other guy in the picture is Orangewomen basketball coach Quentin Hillsman. What?! That guy is like three feet tall! Sure, anyone looks tiny next to ‘Melo, but Hillsman is even shorter than Gross. Heck, he is dwarfed by the Trustee on the left, Joyce Hergenhan. And that orange helmet is even adding a few inches — without it, he’d fit under Melo’s armpit. And he coaches basketball? It’s like having a fat guy coach diving.

As for the renderings, what intrigues me the most is the large void (skylight?) in the roof at the back of the building’s roof
